British author, best known for Winnie-the-Pooh. ALS "A.A. Milne", 4x6, Dec 1 1925 to Mr. Alexander on eve of the first publication of Winnie The Pooh, regarding a First Edition of his book A Gallery of Children, in part: "Mr. Forester has sent me a first edition of my book...and he tells me that I am half indebted to your for it. Please accept my most grateful thanks...there is no reason why we should [have it], and that makes it all the more charming.", custom matted with portrait photo overall size 16x12.5, attractively priced, Milne lists in Sanders just over $900 in ALS form. Of historical note, in 1925 Milne published A Gallery of children, in the same month this letter was written, Pooh made his first print appearance using his name, showing up in the London Evening News in a Christmas Eve tale entitled "The Wrong Sort of Bees.", later published in 1926
