King & Queen of Spain, remembered for financing Columbus' voyage leading to discovery of America. Manuscript LS "Yo el Rey," [I the King] & "Yo La Reyna." [I the Queen], 8.25x12, on watermarked laid paper, Oct 12 1499, seventh anniversary of Columbus' discovery of the Americas, his patrons Ferdinand & Isabella both sign a letter calling for "the municipal royal representative in the noble town of Valladolid", countersigned "Miguel Peres Dalmacan" as secretary, in Old Spanish, accompanied by full translation, docketed on verso. Of historical note, Ferdinand & Isabella were married in Valladolid in 1469 & Columbus died there in 1506
